With the Nassau County deadline being March 1st, there are only a few short weeks left to file a grievance. The term 'weeks' might make you say; "No worries, I have time," but there are some big events and holidays in February that might derail you. Check out what is coming up and remember to file your grievance in the last week of January to avoid the trouble!

Black History Month
This isn't necessarily a holiday that we celebrate on an individual day, but throughout the month of February we recognize the efforts of the leaders in the Civil Rights Movement. With all of their amazing accomplishments on the news, it could be easy to forget about your tax reductions-- and rightfully so. That is why it is important to submit your application now before it slips your mind.
Valentine's Day
On February 14th, we celebrate a holiday that recognizes that special someone in our lives. With all that special planning and gift shopping, it can be easy to lose track of time. With March 1st being the deadline for applications in Nassau County, what better gift to get your significant other than a SIGNIFICANT reduction!
President's Day/ Week
If you wait all the way until the kids have off from school, you're really playing with fire. This is one of the last weeks in February and seeing that you likely have family plans can make the rest of the month fly by. We highly recommend not waiting until the last minute to fill out your application.
Mardi Gras
For all the party people out there, Mardi Gras is a national holiday and something that you plan for all year long. This year it falls on February 28th and with flights, fashion concerns and party planning, your tax reductions are the last thing on your mind. Get the worry off of your mind and fill out your application today to avoid any last minute scrambling.
