Where is the Summer Fun in Long Island?

Now that summer is fully here, kids are out of school, and the temperatures are looking to shine on the brighter side, let’s take a look at what is going on around Long Island for the summer of 2018.

Learn to Surf on Long Island -

Have you ever been interested in learning how to ride the waves and cruise with the ocean? Now is your chance. Get out there and grab a board. There are multiple places in LI to learn how to handle the waves. The name of the shops is Skudin Surf, Bunger Surf Shop, Island Surf School, Natures Shapes, SURFLUCA. Here is a website to check out to see each of their prices and locations. Get out there and get fit! It’s also a great summer workout. https://www.longisland.com/news/06-22-14/learn-to-surf-on-long-island.html

Star Gazing -

Nothing like being outside during the summer night. Why not enjoy some stargazing while you’re out? Here are some observatories and parks that currently host stargazing spots. Star gazing gives people an opportunity to reflect and be contemplative about the beauty of nature and the many wonders and mysteries that our universe holds. Take relaxing night outside and enjoy your summer!

Skydiving -

Ever jumped out of a plane and had the ultimate rush from this activity? Now is your chance! Skydive with South Shore aka Skydive Long Island! You have the option to go tandem skydiving, learn from the best before you take to the skies on your own. You actually have to if you ever do want to go on your own. So learn from the best! Take a few lessons this summer and get this one checked off your bucket list already!

Berry Picking -

Ok, so maybe skydiving isn’t your scene, maybe surfing is too much for you, and maybe you’re not a night owl to go outside and see the stars late at night. Here is the pick for you! You can visit these select farms and hang around, take a stroll, and pick your own berries! Blueberries, Strawberries, and Raspberries! You can’t simply grab them from the bush, you will be instructed how to farm these berries properly.

We hope these picks are something you might find interesting. Happy summer Long Island from your friends here at PTRC! We hope you are having a great summer. Let us know if you end up doing any of these things here through Long Island. We would love to hear about your summer adventures.
