From Long Island's Winterfest to St. Patrick’s Day Parades, beat the winter blues with these fun local events!

The Chocolate Expo 
March 3, from 10am-7pm, Garden City
Looking to satisfy your sweet tooth? Here’s your chance to taste, purchase and indulge in delicious chocolate goodies at The Chocolate Expo! This year will have over 80 vendors with a variety of chocolate offerings — from vegan chocolate to chocolate wine — at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City.

Nassau County’s 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge 
March 10, from 1pm-3pm, Oyster Bay
Work up the nerve to jump into the Oyster Bay Harbor in honor of Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County's 15th Annual Polar Bear Plunge! Festivities start at 1pm — rain, snow or shine. Enjoy free hot dogs, drinks to keep warm, along with a DJ all for a good cause. And as a reminder, daylight savings begins on March 10, so be sure to turn your clocks ahead.

St. Patrick’s Day Parades
All month long, Islandwide
Regardless if you’re a Nassau or Suffolk county resident, you can rest assured that March will have your pick of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations to choose from. The Kings Park parade starts us off on March 2, Huntington’s parade on March 10, Patchogue’s falls on St. Patrick’s Day itself, Montauk’s on March 24, and Jamesport’s on March 30. Be sure to look up your local St. Patrick’s Day celebrations!

Long Island Winterfest 
Now through March 24, 2019, East End
Now in its 12th year, Long Island Winterfest is a celebration of our East End’s vineyards, breweries, hotels, music, art, food, and MORE — all packaged into 5 weekends of fun. Check out their website, linked above, to learn more!
