New York State will now have 7 Las Vegas style casinos constructed throughout the state after the amendment was passed yesterday on Election Day. (Newsday)

The new casinos are expected to create thousands of jobs and increase hundreds of millions in revenue.  It’s being reported that four of the seven casinos will be built in upstate New York in the first four years. The Catskills, the Capital District and the Southern Tier of NY are among the first areas to see construction of a casino. (Newsday)
