Celebrate Spring on Long Island!

Spring has officially arrived, and there’s no better place to enjoy the beautiful weather than right here on Long Island. From walking botanical gardens to hiking lighthouses, we’re excited to start planning some outdoor activities. Check out a few of our favorite local spring hot spots to put on your weekend to-do list:

Schmitt’s Farm Stand On Sound
Entry Fee - FREE
Take a drive to the East End of Long Island and visit Schmitt’s Farm Stand On Sound. Their farm stand isn’t just limited to fresh seasonal fruits and vegetables. You can also pick out a beautiful bouquet of flowers grown locally on site and trust us, you’ll want to try their famous Holy Schmitt’s Horseradish!

Hike at the Fire Island Lighthouse
Entry Fee - $15.00
Are you a history buff? Do you love hiking? Sign up for a guided tour around the famous Fire Island Lighthouse (the second lighthouse ever built along the coast of Long Island). Or you can simply enjoy the sites, and the exercise, on your own.

The beautiful flowers and landscape design at Old Westbury Gardens is the perfect way to celebrate spring. You can even bring your favorite four-legged friends on a walk in the gardens during dog days (but don’t forget your leash)!

Montauk Music Festival
Entry Fee - FREE
Grab a blanket, some beach chairs, and your family and friends, and enjoy live music at the Montauk Music Festival. There will be over 400 artists performing with a music style for everyone (including pop, alternative, rock, reggae, blues, and more).
